My public school class in Arizona consists of a caseload of students with various developmental disabilities. At the high school level, these students with moderate to severe disabilities must focus on functional life skills, functional academics, and vocational training in order to obtain employment and thus, lead as independent life as they are capable. The more practice in vocational skills, the better the chance of a successful transition to the work force following graduation.
