I would love to teach my students about rhythm and music. They do not get exposed to music until fourth grade. Even when they do, there are very few instruments available to borrow. I would love to introduce my students to instruments. We make up songs about core subjects areas. Having instruments to play during this time would be a blessing. Students would also benefit from instruments because they would have a basic understanding of music when they go to third grade. Students will also benefit from instruments in the classroom because they will learn how to keep a rhythm.
