I believe setting a stage of learning to be a powerful medium for my Kindergarten students. If using a dry erase table can help just one student learn a spelling word, a CVC word, or a new Sight word, or calculate a math equation, then I'm all for it! This table will provide a space for my students to write words, letters and draw. It will make small-group learning more productive. Being in arms length of me, I will be able to smoothly transition their hand position for writing, fix incorrect writing habits, and allow a close proximity to my students. Also, having only a table and a marker will keep students focused on the task at hand. I believe time on task will be first and foremost!
