I teach special education in a high poverty urban area. My students range from first grade to third grade, and face many struggles in and out of the classroom environment. I feel as though my job is bigger than me, as many of my students have had very little success in school. My daily and long term goal is to make my students feel good about themselves, which is no small task some days.
