My school is located in a high poverty suburban area in California. Most of my students face very real economic challenges. Many of my students' parents don't speak English, and are not comfortable discussing their needs with the school or teachers. We are working to make Geometry more accessible for our students through hands-on learning. However, this requires that students have access to basic geometry tools at home as well as at school. It is important that students feel that they can be successful from their first day at school. Adequate school supplies would help them greatly. My school cannot afford to purchase supplies for the students. The math department budget will barely cover photocopying this year. If I am to help my students, I need your help.
