We are a Title I school and my kindergarten class consists of 45% special education students and 30% English Language Learners. My students have a unique blend of abilities and needs. Our charter school does not have many necessary supplies or tools to teach beginning readers, as we are under-funded. The focus of our school is literacy yet we are lacking books and supplies for beginning readers. My students are enthusiastic learners who would greatly benefit from differentiated books that we, as teachers, could make for them with the materials we are asking for from Donor's Choose.
