We want to encourage our 5th graders at Sycamore Creek Elementary School to stay current while also providing them authentic and engaging text to explore. This grant will provide our students with a weekly subscription to Scholastic News that will integrate science and social studies topics, keep students well informed, include high level text for critical thinking skills, and provide opportunities for rich discussion, as well as digital resources for further enrichment. Students will be excited to have their own individual magazine, access to online resources, and fun related activities.

About my class
