We are in a big, beautiful urban community, in a high poverty school, with few resources, but very dedicated teachers and staff. All my students have Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Many have executive function difficulties...... meaning they have a really hard time planning, organizing, initiating, and executing with appropriate pacing and within deadlines. I am teaching them how to make and print their own accommodations, such as flash cards, mind-maps, study guides, as well as work on transition plans, write essays, practice keyboarding, and do all the core subjects' work. Further, we have to print out letters to their parents/guardians, behavior charts, HW, their IEPs, and other communications for teachers, staff, family, etc.
