My students come from all walks of life. They attend a public school with over 700 students. Most of my students do not "like" science when they first come to my class. When I ask them what a scientist looks like most answer a man with crazy white hair. They have a preconceived notion that science is just what is in books. I really want to inspire my students by letting them be the scientist learning how to ask questions and find answers. I also want them to base their ideas on data and begin to practice good decision making for the future.
