I am a special education teacher and teach in a public elementary school. I work with the students who have the most severe disabilities. I have students with autism, FAS, ataxia-telangiectasia, down syndrome and Dandy Walker Syndrome. Several of my students are non-verbal. Others students I work with need a visual schedule to make their day predictable. With so many varied needs of my students, it is difficult to make sure we have the needed supplies available for every student. Through Donors Choose, my students have a chance of getting the supplies they need.
