My classes are made up of struggling readers from a low income area. Many of them are not inspired by the classroom, and need something special to fill them with the spark of learning. It is my goal to start the year on fire and show my students that learning can be an amazing experience. Many of my students have struggles in their home life that make school the one safe place they can go. In several cases, their teachers and classmates are the only smiling faces they see all day.

About my class
