In middle school the majority of kids do not like to read. I am trying to find high interest reading material for my students. Scholastic Scope Magazine has the fun articles that will engage my students and motivate them to read. This in turn will get them reading and boost their comprehension. Scholastic Scope Magazine also has differentiation in the variety of assessments and lesson plans. This will help with my special education students as well as my gifted readers. With funding cut for a reading specialist, I am doing everything I can to get my students reading and writing in the classroom and at home.
