Our kids all come from Chicago. This is one of the most impoverished and crime-infested areas of the city. We are a poor school. Our kids are sincere in their efforts to be productive citizens. It is difficult for them given their surroundings. Anything we can do to make them feel as though they have a chance in this world is a positive for them. We have nothing but old sports equipment, and we would like our kids to feel they are just like everybody else who gets new sports equipment. We do not have the resources to get them what they need.

About my class
