Like penguins, my mixed grade middle school drama class is learning to work together. Their goal is to bring to life the words from the page onto the stage! This is a new elective offered for the first time in over 15 years at our Title 1 middle school, and the students are really excited! Unfortunately, as with all firsts, we are starting with virtually nothing but an empty classroom that has a stage-or like one of my student's put it, "a real theatre!" - which really amounts to a classroom with a built-in raised platform. However, to us, it is the most wonderful room in the school! We need supporters of education and the arts to help us in any way they can to fund and grow our little theatre class. We will be forever grateful to those that can contribute in any way! Sincerely, Ms. Richter
