The class coming to me will be - for the first time - a "mixed-up" group. The school I'm at is going from a year round, multi-track school to a single track - everyone there at the same time. I'm excited to have students together who haven't been with each other in the same class (on the same track) for 6 years. Using the Common Core I will structure the class around Science and Social Studies, integrating as much as possible so students will be well-rounded in all subject areas.
