I teach a group of 90 incredibly curious and imaginative students across three different grade levels. All of these students speak English as a 2nd language. Many of my students come from "broken" homes with a hard working parent putting in extra hours at work, leaving them with very little time to spend with their children. Due to limited experiences at home, these kids are struggling significantly with meeting state standards, especially in the area of Language Arts.
