My students will use these magazines to create high interest in academic content. The high quality articles and pictures will generate student engagement in reading, writing, math, science and social studies. They will provide an important alternative to standard workbooks, which are not that engaging to 9 year olds. Students will also use these materials to build their own personal library. Some students say they don't have access to reading materials at home, so after we finish using the magazine in class, we will send it home with students to keep or to share with brothers and sisters.

About my class
