My students are hard-working deserving second grade scholars who are eager to learn. They have made tremendous growth during the school year and live by the saying, "you have to say it and do it like a scholar!" They attend an outstanding Title 1 school in California with a low SES population. Despite the enormity of obstacles, these students have made huge academic gains. This early on in grade school, three of my English Language Learners have been reclassified as if English were their primary language. They hold each other accountable and most of all treat each other with respect. This group will follow me as I will be their teacher in 3rd grade. In addition to always doing their personal best, they are fabulous performers. They dedicated, a beautiful song titled, "I Love You Cause Your my Mom" to their mothers during a Mother's Day celebration event. They also have performed plays such as, "Character Matters." I'm very proud of my students and their accomplishments!
