My students are a heterogeneous group of fourth and fifth graders. They are energetic and willing to take risks. Our two 4/5 classrooms are part of a 5 classroom multiage program that works to promote developmental learning, recognizing that students learn and grow at different rates. Students in our classrooms represent the racially and economically diverse make-up of the larger school. Our students enjoy project based learning and sharing their work with audiences beyond the classroom. For example, our writing workshop offers students the chance to develop their voice and creativity.
