My students are from an area of poverty. Families are hard working but poor. My students see education as their hope for a better future and I want to help them achieve their dreams. Our school is a magnet school, students are in school from 7:30 until 5:00. That means for many of my students they see me as much as they see their parents. I want that interaction to be meaningful. Every child can learn and needs to be challenged. My job is to discover how to motivate each child, and through physical activity and reading meaningful literature I can do that.
