My sixth grade math students come from a variety of backgrounds, meaning they enter my classroom armed with a wide array of strengths and challenges. Thanks to our hands-on, active, and engaging activities, all of my students are eager and willing participants in our classroom. I teach 80 students in inclusive math classes in a K-8 school, and they all benefit from the use of technology and visual representations of math that we study. The mindful use of manipulatives and other scaffolds allow for all students to explore challenging mathematical concepts through low-floor/high-ceiling activities. We love math!
