I have a great group of kids this year. They are very capable and very smart, but when they come to school I feel like they are a little bit let down when they see the material that we get to use to help them understand the concepts because a lot of it is old. The hard part for the kids at school is that they live in an affluent community and they have high tech devices at their homes. Since the school is located in a wealthy area the school gets very very little money from the federal government. You would think that wealthy areas have rich schools but not so much here. We have to write grants to private businesses to get hula hoops.
