I work with a wide variety of students K-5th grade who, for different reasons, experience difficulty maintaining good relationships with other students. This includes students with ADHD, PDD or Aspergers and/or Autsim, emotional difficulties and learning challenges. These are children who do not pick up on social cues in the ways that most "typically developed" children do. They require direct instruction and explicit teaching separate from the regular ed classroom in order to progress.
