A lot of research is available regarding the need for students of all abilities to move throughout their school day. The sensory system is complex and in today's world of technology, many children experience decreased opportunities to move. Students with special needs benefit the most from sensory movement breaks, as sensory movement breaks help them to organize themselves. When children have deficits in their sensory system they have great difficulty maintaining attention or following even a simple direction, making academic success impossible. The path will be placed in a central, but quiet hallway, allowing for a peaceful and optimal experience for each student.
