Some of the calculators in my classroom are over 10 years old, which makes it tough for my students to compete with students at other schools. These calculators are an essential tool, my students need, to improve their knowledge of technology and prepare them for state testing. It makes me frustrated when I have to spend the time cleaning calculators, instead of preparing for lessons to help my students succeed. These are a necessary tool, my students need to use, in my classroom. These calculators will help improve my students' mathematical capabilities. They will, not only improve their knowledge and use of technology, but also the very important mathematical concepts that go along with it.
