My students are college bound and curious teenagers, and our school is a generally happy, safe place nested in an area of farms and smaller towns. They benefit tremendously from exposure to and consideration of other cultures because this area feels secluded and insular according to them. As they prepare to branch out and expand their horizons, they express a genuine interest in learning Spanish and Latin, as well as a genuine interest in developing cultural competence and worldly knowledge.

About my class
