My K/1 students attend a public K-8 charter in a large urban setting. They represent a wide array of racial, socio-economic, and family backgrounds. They are inquisitive, quirky, and always eager to learn more! My students learn best though hands on experiences and projects, and delight at all opportunities to interact with the natural world. At our community oriented, equity based school, my students are taught using a hands on, art integrated curriculum. This curriculum strives for students to develop strong connections between themselves and the world around them.
