I teach upper level mathematics in Michigan at a large public school. Some of my students are highly motivated by mathematics while others are not. Many of them see math as, at best, a means to an end, and at worst a terribly boring and pointless experience. But, they are curious. They are interested in helping their community. They want to see mathematics in the real world. They want it to be relevant. I'm trying to engage these commonalities in my classroom each day.

About my class
