Nearpod is a tool that will enhance my Google Slide lessons by adding quizzes, videos, polls, and many other tools to help my in-class students along with my virtual ones that are still at home. Flocabulary teaches literacy concepts with the use of music which studies show increases fluency and understanding in all students. I create video lessons, so my students can get the most authentic learning experience whether they are at home or not, so a new webcam that will take and record a clear video is a big must have. Also, 50% of my students are English Language Learners in a high poverty rural school. Many enter 6th grade with very little English skills, so having a translating device to communicate with them and their parents more effectively would be helpful.
