Teaching at a Title I school that is in a rural farming community has both it's rewards and it's disadvantages. I get to make an incredible difference in the life of my twenty-four 4th grade students but I also get little funds to do it with. We are a school that has implemented Common Core fully and that has used a lot of our resources, leaving little for more than the basics in the Arts. My kids are natural artists and love to explore that side of their personality. Most of my kids will not go out and see the world, they will not get to experience art in museums, or see it first hand in any form. When I bring art to them, they get to experience it and interact with it!
