MY students come from an inner school. Approximately 76 percent of the population are English Learners and all 1250 students qualify for free lunch. They would greatly benefit from having journals to write about their daily experiences. Journals validate their lives. But for stunts to be successful they must have organization in their classrooms. A writing center will assist students with having the tools and materials for writing. We are not fortunate to be in a community where parents can monetarily assist in buying supplies so donors choose is a great opportunity. But what our community can't contribute financially they do in support.
