The students I serve are among the lowest achieving readers in grades K-2. I see my students in small groups of 5 and this model of teaching helps them make great gains in reading. However, with limited access to leveled books, they tend to have to read the same books over and over. This limits my ability to work on new skills and gets redundant for the students. Having a wide variety of books to select from will put new excitement in their eyes and open the door for more reading skills to be taught through the leveled books.
