I teach First Grade in Washington State. In my classroom our main focus is learning how to solve problems based on authentic classroom experiences. My initial focus is creating a classroom family environment that is safe and inviting for all students and their families to fully participate in. I received my bachelor's degree in special education as well as elementary education and a master's degree in integrating arts across curriculum. I am driven to find ways for all students to be able to demonstrate their strengths and contribute to our classroom on a daily basis. I also believe that young children learn best through play-based, experiential, and hands-on activities such as dramatic role play, visual arts, music, storytelling and inquiry based learning. On behalf of my classroom, thank you so much for your generosity!
