My students are part of an inclusive pre-kindergarten environment. They live in a multicultural city and for this reason they are very diverse. They are diverse not only in their cultures and ethnic backgrounds, but also in their physical, cognitive, behavioral and emotional learning abilities. Our school is part of a Title I district where at least 75% of students qualify for free or reduced price meals. My students' love for learning always amazes me. They are curious and eager to learn new ideas through play-based, multisensory, hands-on activities. As a teacher, I am constantly striving to provide new materials and experiences that will allow them to grow in all areas of development. My ultimate goal is to provide a solid educational foundation and instill with them a lifetime love for learning.
