My students come from high-poverty homes in the inner-city. They face many challenges on a daily basis. We work hard to make school a welcoming, safe and positive environment where they can learn the academic and life skills needed for success in school and life. Many of these students start out school already behind and have a lot of catching up to do to reach grade level standards, even in first grade. Help us bridge that learning gap by supporting our class and my project and providing my students with supplies and materials that will meet their needs and be motivating at the same time.
