Education in early childhood is all about exploration. Nearly everything my students encounter is a new experience. By providing a variety of art supplies and opportunities to use all of their senses, my students will see the growth of their skills in fine motor, expressive and receptive language, creativity, and confidence. By providing the opportunities to explore a variety of art supplies and materials, my students will gain the confidence and skills to succeed going into kindergarten. My goal is to provide both open-ended art options and guided projects. We work on colors, numbers, opposites, requesting items, asking for help, increasing vocabulary length and so, so much more. Virtual learning has been difficult to provide these opportunities, and as we head back into the classroom, I can't wait to be messy again.
