My students are typically from poverty. They don't get much help from home because their parents don't have the knowledge to help them. We have 85%+ students that are on free and reduced lunch. What little money our school has is not used for furniture. Our desks are very worn and it is very hard to get anything extra. I spend a lot of my own money getting them basic supplies as well as supplies for my classroom.
