Our students are excited to learn and excel in life. We have a wide variety in the areas of how well off they are financially and from different ethic backgrounds. However, I have noticed that when it comes to music, our students love to learn especially when it is relevant and hands on. Our school has about 750 students. Most of them are involved in music. Our class size is about 30 per classroom with the exception of our music ensemble classes like band and choir which are closer to 60 in a room. Our school lacks the technology that our neighboring districts have, but we do the most with what we have. Our students are held to a high standard both academically and along the lines of behavior. We consistently have above average state test scores, and do well in area competitions related to academics, the arts and athletics. We also have what is called our PRIDE program where students learn the importance of respect and responsibility.
