As part of the Expeditionary Learning Schools network, I seek to challenge my students and make their work real and engaging. Our curriculum not only ties to state standards, but seeks to tie education into our students lives and communities, on the belief that learning is most successful when it results in authentic work with real-life consequences. WIth our close ties to Outward Bound, we seek to educate our students as whole individuals, not merely as test-takers, and work hard to allow them to become self-motivated, empowered young men and women.
