Having Accelerated Reader leveled books in my classroom will allow my students to select books at their interest and reading level. They can take them home to do their reading at night and take Accelerated Reader tests in class to build on their comprehension. When my old school was closed, we lost the ability to check out these books in bulk and keep in classrooms. The students can check out a book each week from the library, but they need to have more opportunities to choose books that interest them and to read not only to learn, but for pleasure.
