I teach at a Title I school in the state of Georgia where over 50% of the students receive free or reduced price lunch. My school consists of over 1,000 students in Third, Fourth, and Fifth grades. I teach reading, writing, and language arts. I specifically teach two Third grade inclusion classes that contain students with special needs. Many of my students have learning disabilities and or behavior disorders. I also have regular education students as well as gifted. Additionally, my students' ethnicity includes Caucasian, African-American, Hispanic, and Asian. My students love to read and write as well as listen to engaging literature. They love to use books to discover new things in the world. They are self-motivated learners with various abilities. I am often told that I have the "best behaved" class! My students work well with each other and bring out the best in one another.
