I have the best students in the world! They are kind, caring, loving, and filled with an yearning to learn and experience new things. They enjoy reading, STEM, problem solving in math, and all kinds of art projects! The school is a Title 1 school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch. Most of my students are English Language Learners who speak Spanish or Vietnamese at home. We are in Southern CA right outside of Los Angeles in an urban setting. Many students share their home or apartment with other family members because money is very tight. Despite these tight times, they are eager to learn and very determined! Economically they may be at a disadvantage but they make up for it in heart and their desire to learn! As their teacher, it is my job to narrow their learning gap and expose them to as many experiences and activities as possible.
