This School Year 2020-2021, will definitely be a different one and not the typical beginning of the year norm! We haven't met our little eager kindergarten friends just yet or heard whether or/not we will be back in school or beginning with remote learning... However, we are ready and filled with ideas! I can say each year our kindergarten students enter our classrooms with kind hearts, natural curiosity and desire to learn! We want to be prepared for an exciting first "official" school year but able to provide a safe, comfortable and inviting learning environment! My Project This project is designed to provide my inner-city kindergarten students with an alternative social distance seating option as well as their own individual supplies. This will allow my students to each have a space in the classroom, without sitting at tables with dividers. (We currently have only 6 tables which usually seat 4-6 students... so, no can do w/that!) They will have their own work mat, tray, bins and supplies. This will allow them to stay safely organized and each have their own space in our fun filled learning environment. If we begin the year with remote learning, our plan is to provide "Take Home" learning bags filled with supplies students will need to successfully complete lessons and activities.
