Creating an exciting writing environment for students in the classroom can be a challenge, but it is imperative that students become proficient writers. Allowing children to work in an area designated especially for writing, in a comfortable setting, with fun, colorful supplies and furniture will inspire them to be focused and to produce creative writing pieces. Students will be allowed to use the writing center, sit in comfortable bean bag chairs while using clipboards and a variety of writing tools to complete all steps of the writing process. They will use the writing center in very small groups where they will work collaboratively to brainstorm, edit, and present their writing.

About my class
