My students love to read, they love learning through technology and many are tactile learners. Our school has about 300 learners in grades PreK-6. It is a school made up of 3 rural towns, inhabited by farmers, loggers, small business owners or those who travel 30 minutes each way for work. The community is very close and caring; however, the school's high poverty stature does not provide teachers with an opportunity for implementing technology. In our building, some teachers have their own technology, some have building based technology (like a SMARTboard), while other teachers only have access to shared technology (laptop carts). It is my goal to increase technology resources within my own classroom.
