My students are awesome! Our school was established by a charter designed to meet the language and academic content needs of a diverse group of students, while focusing on appreciation for culture and community. They come from many diverse backgrounds. Almost all are English Language Learners. Many come from families of refugees from Somalia or the Middle East and they are 1st generation Americans. Our school is located in a very high poverty region of a major city.
