My students will the CD players to listen to stories at their independent reading level. They will be able to use books and interactive materials in small groups to gain better knowledge and use of the language. Students will be able to improve their ELA and reading levels if they have access to a variety of materials that engage them in learning. Students are at different reading and writing levels. With the help of fun, and educational material, they can get the exposure they need while having fun. It's hard because we have limited resources. Most of our current material is outdated or too difficult for students. These students are in 6-8 grade, however they read at between a 2nd grade and 5 grade level, with writing skills at roughly the same levels. Most are aware of their language disability but also recognize when something is intended for a younger student.
