My students are an enthusiastic group of 3rd graders. They are interested in their community and about what lies outside their community. They are diverse, not only in their ethnicity but in their life experiences. Some have been born and raised in this community and some have come to our country from abroad. They are a true melting pot of students. My students have many different interests outside of the classroom. We have students that consider themselves athletes , musicians, artists and just regular kids. If you could visit our school at lunch time you would see food from all over the world. Students eating sandwiches along side students eating sushi along side students eating nan bread. It has been a very interesting place to teach.
