I teach K-3 students reading in a small group setting. My job is to work with the children who have the most difficulty learning how to read. The school I teach in is located in a high poverty area in the south suburbs of Chicago. The children deal with poverty, crime, and single parent homes. Despite these circumstances, our school is one of the best performing schools in our district due to our hardworking and innovative staff and students.

About my class
