I want to foster a culture of reading in my classroom. This project will supply every student a book and an opportunity. If every student has a book, (and having the same book), students will have insightful, recorded book club discussions; they will create meaningful book projects monthly; and they will become better critical thinkers and readers, while increasing their appetites for a good book. I have selected very diverse texts to begin this work. It'll be exciting witness the reconciling of students' perspectives with literary voices from around the world.
